four simple goals: september

Each month I'll be sharing four simple goals on the blog.  You can join along by making your own four simple goals for the month - things that you might not do if you didn't commit to it, but not anything that feels overwhelming or that can't get done in a 28/30/31 day period.  You can also use my monthly image (below) on your own blog if you'd like, just link back to here and share a link to your blog below in the comments section so I can check it out!

With my complicated feelings of the changing of the seasons this year, my goal list won't include anything fall related until next month.  This month is about practical goals and making time for things I've already committed to.  Nothing super fun, but reaching goals is fun in itself (at least it is for goal nerds like me).  Anything simple you'd enjoy checking off your to do list this month?

1. Buy new glasses: My glasses are crazy scratched and in need of an upgrade.  Would love to have a clear pair by the end of this month.

2. 5k Training: You know how you sign up for something thinking you'll have all the time in the world to get ready for it?  And then suddenly that something is three weeks away, and you haven't done anything to prepare for it?  Yeah...that happened with a little 5k I signed up for.  I'll be running 3 miles in a few weeks, and it would be great if I didn't collapse before reaching the finish line.  Hopefully all those miles I've skated will help my training!

3. Raise $$ for AFSP: Paul and I have signed up for the local American Foundation for Suicide Prevention fundraiser walk.  We'll be walking to honor the people we have lost to suicide and to help prevent this type of loss for others.  Check out the badge on the right column for more information.

4. Close Wolski's: I've put this on several goal lists over the past couple of years, and I think it's time to buck up the courage to stay up past my bedtime and do a good old fashioned bar closing.  Who's with me?
